kinda late but i hate how in every kids show i watch they always involve giving group hugs to people going through panic attacks. idk bout yall but when im going though a panic attack i wouldnt exactly like being almost wrestled by 10+ people, that would overwhelm me

I only ever saw the show in bits and pieces but finally having access to it on streaming. And going over plot important episodes. Way to much filler for what Steven universe is. And from the plot important episodes. It feels rushed. One minute garnet is telling the offcolors about pink diamond and rose. Clearly showing us two different characters and give them both voices. To literally a few episodes later and getting into the pink reveal. I know the show stopped sooner then she wanted because of the wedding episode. If it could be done again she needed to cut the fluff. Focus on the space drama more. Do this pink reveal well cause it feels half baked. And give us a different send off to the other diamonds I don't like how they end as Characters in this world.

I feel that "terrible" isn't a strong enough word to describe this movie. I completely understand why people tore this movie apart because...we were basically lied to about what this movie was going to be. And worst of all, it's the movie that Disney used to celebrate its one-hundredth year anniversary - that's the absolute worst part - ending things on a very low note. This might actually be Disney's worst animated movie. The story is predictable and confusing. The characters are boring and unrelatable. The humor wasn't funny. The music, which is often one of the best things in a Disney movie, also isn't very good. We see the potential the movie has, but it was completely ignored. There was nothing redeemable about this movie at all. I mean, how did Magnifico's old kingdom perish; why do you forget about your wish when you give it away; how are people aware if their wishes are granted or not; why did Magnifico use the black magic book before Star became a real threat; how does magic work in this land; how did the Star come down to Earth; why have the whole movie be filled with references; etc. Why was Magnifico even a villain in the movie? From the very start of the movie, it is explained that he did whatever he could to make a peaceful and welcoming kingdom. He grants the wishes of his people, and desires to protect. He even refuses to grant wishes that are too vague out of fear that it might bring ruin to the kingdom. Because of this, the kingdom is thriving, and all the people love and respect him. I'm sorry, but that's not at all what a villain is. And suddenly he's the bad guys simply because...to be the bad guy? Having him use a book full of dark magic, despite being fully aware that he will become completely possessed by it? Forcing someone into the villain role is downright annoying. Asha is very awkward and quirky when she really doesn't have to be. Plus, she doesn't really do anything, nor does she learn a valuable lesson, or grow as a character. Asha, honestly, doesn't deserve to be the next wish granter because she hasn't really accomplish anything - whereas Magnifico actually worked hard and went through hardships to gain his power. So in a way, Asha is the real villain; because all she did was complain and imprisoned a man who brought peace and unity to his kingdom. Star was pointless, because all it did was make animals talk, bring plants to life, and was there to be cute. Valentino was also quite useless, because he didn't bring anything. Even Asha's seven are basically irrelevant. Why not have Asha be part of the natives from Rosa, who are also naturally gifted in "healing magic". Asha, having the most potential out of all her people, becomes Magnifico's first and only apprentice. She finds out that Magnifico only grants wishes that are harmless to his position in power, and the rest are left in the vault - but in reality, he absorbs those wishes to further fuel his already powerful magic…and maybe he was the real reason for his old kingdom's downfall. Asha uses her magic to unintentionally cause a star to land on Earth. As Magnifico is aware that the star's power actually eclipses his own, and uses the dark book to become powerful enough to steal Star's magic. Asha, remembering her grandfather's and late father's words about wishes, is able to encourage everyone to take back their wishes as they have the power make them real. Star escapes the staff's mirror and imprisons Magnifico in his place. While the kingdom of Rosas repairs itself, Amaya is revealed to be the true mastermind behind all of Magnifico's evil deeds; and vows to one day free her beloved husband. Or why not have Asha be Magnifico and Amaya's adopted or biological daughter - imagine having to battle your own parents in order to save your home. Another version is Asha doesn't know what she really wants - as she has all she needs, plus is very helpful and reliable in Rosas. Magnifico still refuses to grant Sabino's vague wish, and explains that his old kingdom was destroyed because a being from the stars granted everyone's wish and caused mayhem to spread. The being than abandoned everyone as the kingdom tore itself apart (Magnifico and Amaya being the only survivors). Asha wishes upon a star and Star appears, and the two grant most of the wishes - however, Star, still not in full control of his powers, unintentionally causes mayhem and disorder. Magnifico, aware he is not powerful enough to stop all the chaotic magic hesitantly uses the dark book. Sabino suffers a heart attack during a scuffle, and regrets not being able to inspire people with his music - but Asha reveals that his music made people happy and inspired them to help others - Sabino dies peacefully in his sleep. Magnifico steals Star's magic, but Asha is able to realize the magic that all people have and their connection to the stars. Magnifico is defeated and imprisoned. Leaving his kind wife to replace him as ruler. Amaya and Asha promise to find a way to free and cure Magnifico. Asha learns that Magnifico had a system to keep everyone safe from themselves, and that not every wish should be granted. Star, aware he's not meant to live in this world, gives Asha a wand made of his magic - they share a kiss before he returns among the other stars.

the rejuvenator resets gems back directly to their original form, but it also poofs them and they're normal gems. meanwhile, steven is a diamond, and he wasn't poofed, so you could say "well i guess the rejuvenator wasn't as powerful against steven because of this". Maybe if spinel trapped steven and kept swinging the rejuvenator against him a lot of times, then the gem would have reverted enough.

After reading the manga, I'm actually happy how it ended up. Plus, they still keep the fun relationship Rukia and Ichigo have. And people tend to forget that Rukia is a Soul Reaper and a Captain while Ichigo is still a human

The problem with Steven Universe is trying to solve every conflict with talking and not having good fights and another problem was the marriage episode that made everything else be rushed because of cartoon not wanting it and tbh that should not have happened in detriment of the whole series finale, yeah it was great for the community and all but it destroyed the finale

Thank you for this! I wanted to like this movie so much, it has so much potential... but it looked like it was trying to tell two or three stories at the same time without deciding what was the important one or who the villains were supossed to be. Also I concur with our protagonist I get she has trust issues with authority figures but you could give her some personality apart from "girl with a chip on her shoulder", like put some old pass time that she had with her parents that shows us she is still that good person inside, not just the boom box to make a statement

The argument with the rejuvenator seems to ignore that the weapon hits the physical form, likely to access the gem data and factory reset it. But that doesn’t work so well for Steven’s organic body. So his gem wasn’t necessarily reset, but more like instead of reformatting the USB, someone dunked it in a glass of water. It’s messed up and doesn’t work right. But everything is there. Surface, Rose, and Pink just like before.

It's sad to think about it, but I think, that they went for metaphor of dead mother - you know that there's a part of her in you, but she's truly gone. You can imagine, that she's watching you from the clouds, or in this case, from the gem, and it's up to your believs and interpretation. But in the end, in my opinion, she's gone and she's not watching you from anywhere. But it's the memories that stays with you and that's the most important part of it all. (Also the consequences of dead person actions can affect you, just how show showed us). And for the pink powers theory in future - I think that Steven was stepping in the wrong direction, just as his mother did, but he managed not to hurt that much people as his mother did. But it's just imo.

I feel like if pink Steven was hit with the rejuvenator, pink diamond would absolutely come back, but the problem is, when Steven was hit with the rejuvenator, his gem went from being a part of him to simply being embedded into him. Lapis couldn’t form until she was taken out the mirror so I think pink diamond wouldn’t be able to form unless her gem was taken out of Steven. This would also explain why Steven was so exhausted just like when he lost his gem. When gems are embedded into something, the thing ends up with more power, but it doesn’t become the gem or gain all of its abilities. The mirror was sentient but it couldn’t control water.
